Cycling Thoughts…

I’d forgotten what it felt like to pedal down the streets with just my thoughts to keep me company. I hadn’t ridden in almost 2 years but, being cooped up I got the urge to go out and get a bike. Something to past the time, get me away from the studio to clear my head. It’s been two weeks now and I ride most days of the week. Whether it’s a ten minute ride or thirty, each time I get back, my head feels clearer and I can focus on creating again. I used that focus today to practice with watercolor pencils. It was challenging and still going to need more practice but, to get back into the flow of creating felt satisfying. Focus can be hard to keep hold of when our thoughts are elsewhere. Designate a time to sort through your thoughts, whether it be biking, yoga, journaling, anything that helps and perhaps focus will come back to you…

Stay in and stay safe.
